After two consecutive wins, Punjab Kings were handed their first defeat of IPL 2025 as Rajasthan Royals won the 18th match of the season by 50 runs in New Chandigarh. With this, RR are also back on their winning track from losing first two matches to winning the latest two. The main highligght of the game was Yashasvi Jaiswal's 67-run knock to guide RR to a big total along with Jofra Archer's fiery opening spell.
Batting first, RR posted 205 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his first fifty of the season as he scored 67 runs off 45 balls hitting three fours and five sixes. Apart from that, Riyan Parag also scored an unbeaten 43*(25) runs hitting three fours and as many sixes. In reply, Nehal Wadhera played a fighting knock of 62 off 41 balls but it didn't help PBKS much as they were restricted to 155 runs losing nine wickets.
