MS Dhoni is regarded as the most successful Indian captain as he has led the Men in Blue to three ICC trophies in. Although, the Captain Cool might have hung his boots from international cricket for more than three years now, he continues to lead the IPL franchise CSK. The veteran of the game led his Chennai-based franchise for a record fifth title, equalling Rohit Sharma’s record with joint most IPL titles.

The 42-year-old has been under the limelight post his IPL win. The stalwart underwent a knee surgery soon after the IPL 2023 as his continuous struggles led to a lot of questions on his health during the two-month long tournament. However, his knee surgery was a success, the CSK skipper is back walking and recently celebrated his 42nd birthday at his farmhouse in Ranchi.

Dhoni early on Monday, July 10 was seen at the airport as he landed in Chennai alongside his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni. As soon as Dhoni made an exit from the airport, a concerned fan asked on his knee. The legend as usual did respond to the fan with a concerned smile as he walked out of the gates. The video of the same is now doing rounds on social media.

MS Dhoni receives a grand welcome in Chennai

The couple are reportedly in Chennai for the trailer launch of Dhoni Entertainment Pvt Ltd’s first movie, titled, ‘Let’s Get Married’. MS Dhoni who is often considered as a demi-god in Chennai was greeted with thunderous reception from fans. While some of them chanted ‘Dhoni..Dhoni’, some part of the crowd is also seen welcoming the legend with showers of flowers.

 The 42-year-old, who was expected to announce his retirement at the end of the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, however, will lead his franchise for reportedly one-last time in the 2024 edition as he hinted to come back in IPL 2024. “It would be a gift from me, won’t be easy on the body,” Dhoni had said after his title triumph in IPL 2023.
