The upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 which is set to take place from October 5 to November 19 would be hosted in India. With already eight teams being confirmed to play the tournament - India (Host), England, New Zealand, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Now the question for all fans is how many more teams will join the above-mentioned teams from WC qualifiers and we will see how many teams can join in detail.

In the ongoing ODI WC Qualifiers 2023 tournament a total of ten teams participated in two groups with Group-A comprising Sri Lanka, Scotland, Oman, Ireland, and UAE and Group B comprising Zimbabwe, Netherlands, West Indies, Nepal, and USA.

Top-3 teams in the points table from each group (A & B) will qualify for the super six stage. From Super Sixes, later only the top two teams in the table would play finals of the tournament.

Both finalists of the 2023 WC Qualifiers will qualify to play the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 edition, thus two more teams will qualify to play the ODI WC 2023 from the ongoing WC Qualifiers tournament.

A total of 10 teams will participate in the upcoming ODI WC 2023 event much similar to what happened in the 2019 ODI WC.
