Chris Gayle is undoubtedly one of the most explosive batters of all time. The 'Universe Boss' has already proved his supremacy in every franchise league in the world and earned applause not just for his batting ability but also for being an absolute entertainer in the middle. The 42-year-old is gearing up for yet another exciting assignment in the form of 6ixty which is slated to begin on August 24.

The quality all-rounder last made an international appearance during T20 World Cup 2021. On the eve of the launch of inaugural edition of the 60-ball league, Gayle who is known for his humor claimed that he is the greatest off-spinner of all time. While speaking to ESPNCricinfo, Gayle admitted that he would like to contribute with bat and ball in the tournament and once again feeling like a 'kid.'

Speaking about his bowling, Gayle said, "You know what? My bowling is natural. I definitely have to bowl. I am the greatest spinner of all time. Muttiah Muralitharan wont contest that for sure. I have the best economy, not even Sunil Narine can come close to that."

He further admitted that he is extremely excited to be back in the field and feels like a 'kid' again. "I missed it. I am like a kid again, looking forward to the first game. For my debut. Ill have to get back in shape. I am still in shape but just a little prep is needed to warm my body and to get in the mindset of playing cricket," he added.

The Caribbean all-rounder also commented on the significance of bowlers in the shorter format by claiming that bowlers are getting more creative now a days.

"There is no denying in the fact that batting part is more dominant but bowlers have gained lot of skills to make it uncomfortable for the batters. Its upon us how much entertainment we can generate in the 60-ball league," he concluded.

The 6ixty will feature a men's tournament with six teams and women's edition with three teams.
