After Jamahal Hill arrived at the UFC 300 press conference with a Moai stone-shaped prop, his opponent for the upcoming PPV, Alex Pereira, didn’t seem too pleased while talking about how he would make him remember this moment. In response, Jamahal Hill said that he doesn’t give a f*** about what Alex Pereira stated before telling him about how he is going to beat him down inside the octagon.
In the main event of the highly anticipated UFC 300 PPV, the Brazilian Alex Pereira is set to defend his light heavyweight championship against the American Jamahal Hill at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 13. Notably, after Jamahal Hill was forced to vacate his UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in July of 2023 due to an Achilles tendon injury, it was Alex Pereira, who won the vacant championship against the former champion Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295.
During the UFC 300 press conference, when Jamahal Hill held aloft the Moai stone-shaped prop for everyone to see in attendance at the venue and all over the world, Alex Pereira said, as per his translator, “I’ll make him remember this moment.” Jamahal Hill responded, “Write it down. Take a picture. I don’t give a f***. When he gets in there. When you step in there with me, ain’t nothing to talk about, ain’t nothing to say. It’s all right here and I’m on yo a**.”
Moreover, the pre-fight face-off between Jamahal Hill and Alex Pereira was quite intense to say the very least. Dana White, the UFC President, had to get involved between Hill and Pereira to call them off before their highly anticipated championship match at UFC 300.
Charles Oliveira gave his prediction for the UFC 300 main event, stating that while Jamahal Hill is quite impressive, he expects Alex Pereira, his countryman, to come out on top when it’s all said and done.
