But with Day 5 coming into play, in-form batter Virat Kohli was the first to be dismissed adding another shock in order to lift the title. Steven Smith pulled off a blinder to dismiss Kohli at the score of 49 off 75 deliveries. Leaving everyone in awe of this brilliant catch, while Harsha Bhogle claimed that he will buy Smith a drink for this brilliant catch, former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar had an opinion for Virat Kohli.

Gavaskar believed that Kohli would have not played this shot if he was nearing a personal landmark. While commentating on the Day 5 of the WTC Final, Sunil Gavaskar said, “I don’t think Virat Kohli would have played that shot if he wasn’t near a personal landmark.”
