Nigerian-New Zealander MMA star Israel Adesanya walked about with a one-line response in the press conference after losing his UFC middleweight title against Sean Strickland at UFC 293. The Style Bender suffered a shock upset loss in Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena after five gruelling rounds as Strickland won via unanimous decision.

Later in the post-match press conference, Adesanya stopped by for a moment and talked about how he wanted to be with friends and family after the loss. He also conveyed his coach, Eugene Bareman would take over the media interaction as he is a smarter person than him.
Israel Adesanya was quoted saying, " I ha d a different plan for this, but life throws curveballs at you. Win or lose, I wasn't gonna say much anyways but right now, I lost tonight to the better man on the night and I just wanna go be with people who care about me, my team. So I'm gonna do that."

Talking about Sean Strickland, Tarzan wasn’t happy with Adesanya’s short press conference and demanded his competitor take responsibility for his loss. Strickland said, "I don't fu*king know. Like, you win some, you lose some. Just man the fu*k up, you know? You win some you lose some, just man the fu*k up."
Addressing the future of the middleweight title, UFC president Dana White wasn’t evasive about a possible rematch for the Style Bender, despite his two losses in the last three fights. White, after UFC 293, said, "I think you do the rematch, absolutely. I mean the rematch is interesting."
