During the recent DAZN face off, Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney had a lot to say before their scheduled boxing match at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 20. When Devin Haney suggested the prospect of knocking out Ryan Garcia with a left hook, he hilariously spoke about creating a meme out of himself if that moment happens.
In the build-up to their one-on-one match in the welterweight division, Devin Haney called out Ryan Garcia for doing the “same things” in the boxing ring, while transitioning from amateurs to professional circuit. He remarked that his opponent is a “one trick pony,” to which Ryan Garcia got very annoyed, calling it “tank s***.”
It led to KingRy repeatedly asking Devin Haney about whether he had knocked out someone with a right hand, to which he got a repeated response of “who.” When The Dream rephrased to him about whether he has knocked out someone “on the elite level,” Ryan Garcia stated, “Not yet. You’ll be the first one.”
Following this, the conversation moved towards Ryan Garcia suggesting to Devin Haney about knocking him out with a right hand, which would be funny since he only possesses a left hook. The Dream fired back with a suggestion of his own by stating that it will be funnier if he knocked out with a left hook.
Ryan Garcia was on board with the hilarity of the comment from Devin Haney, speaking about potentially making a reel about it. When The Dream asked KingRy about creating a reel about it, he responded in the affirmative and said, “I might meme myself.”
