The Match 1 of Legends League Cricket brought back the memories of old times with some of the biggest names in world cricket, dazzling on the field once again years after their retirement. It was a nostalgic day for all the fans as Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Misbah-ul-Haq and others produced an exhibition in Oman on Thursday.

While India Maharajas eventually went on to win the match by 6 wickets courtesy Yusuf Pathan's sensational 40-ball 80-run knock, Shoaib Akhtar made a shocking statement after the end of match. Talking about the captain of opposition side, the 46-year-old said, "I wanted to punch Mohammad Kaif," before breaking into laughter.

While the presenter was left confused why he said that, Akhtar explained that he had told Kaif before the match, not to walk towards him while batting. However, Rawalpindi Express added that the India Maharajas captain did not listen to him and tried to instigate him during the contest, which made him angry.

However, there was no love lost between the two cricketers and friends. After his comments, Akhtar presumably even looked towards Kaif and made a funny gesture, suggesting the heartwarming relations that the retired cricketers have with each other.

During the match as well, the duo had a beautiful moment which everyone absolutely loved. When Mohammad Kaif was batting and Shoaib Akhtar was bowling, both the players were captured laughing at each other with Akhtar putting his hands over the shoulder of Kaif. The reason behind the same was only known to them but for fans, it was just a lovely sight to watch.

Both the players also had an impressive day on the field. While Kaif scored 42* off 37 balls, Akhtar registered figures of 4-0-21-1.
