After Liverpool FC owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) released a statement inviting offers from the interested parties to buy the Premier League club, UFC star Conor McGregor has shown his desire to buy the English club on his social media account.

Reportedly, FSG have produced a full sales presentation for the interested parties and contracted Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to assist with the evaluation process, however, it is uncertain that the deal will eventually take place.

In a Q&A session on Twitter, the 34-year-old Conor McGregor responded positively to a fan, who asked the UFC star to buy the Premier League club, Liverpool FC. A fan tagged McGregor and wrote, "Buy Liverpool FC," while the Notorious responded, "I WOULD LOVE IT! I requested my information on this, yes. Soon as I heard. What a turn of events! What a club!  @LFC."

According to the Wealthy Gorilla, McGregor has a net worth of $200 million in 2022 while FSG  sold an 11 per cent stake to RedBird Capital Partners in April 2021 for $750 million.

Additionally, legendary NBA star LeBron James  has  a 2 per cent stake in the Liverpool FC ownership, which cost him around $5.4 million.  Since taking over Liverpool in 2010, FSG appointed Jurgen Klopp as their manager and went on to win the Premier League in 2019-20, UEFA Champions League in 2018-19, two EFL Cup, one UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup each.
