Harshal Patel, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League took a cheeky dig when asked about RCB’s title hopes. It is to be noted the Faf du Plessis-led side will start their IPL 2023 campaign against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 2) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

While talking to a media outlet, the Indian pacer had a sarcastic reply and moreover denied having an answer. In a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, the Bangalore seamer said that he would take Mike Hesson’s job, if he knew the answer to the question.

"If I had the answer to that question, I would take Mike Hesson's job. I'm being very, very honest when I say in my last couple of years with RCB, I have never seen a team management that is more process-oriented and more focused on taking care of the players so that they will take care of what needs to be taken care of on the field,” he said.

The 32-year-old pacer said that the RCB team has a professional team management and they believe in staying consistent throughout the process. He further went on to say that he hopes these qualities of the team will help them fulfil their dream of winning the title in the near future.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have always had a star-studded team but they have failed to win the tournament in any of the editions. The team has reached the finals thrice, including 2009, 2011, and 2016.
