Netherlands have surprised the cricket world by winning their first game of ODI World Cup 2023 against South Africa with the help of brilliant innings from skipper Scott Edwards at the lower order and brilliant bowling performance from their bowlers who restricted the Proteas for a total of 207 runs in the 2nd innings.

Talking about this game, initially, the match was delayed due to heavy rains at Dharamsala, and later a reduced game of 43 overs per side was played between these two sides at the start time of 4 PM, where the Netherlands batters were seen struggling to the proteas bowling and as a result, they were reduced for a total of 140/7, but a stunning knock from skipper Scott Edwards ensured they ended at a respectable score of 245 runs in the end.

South Africa kept losing wickets in regular intervals and as a result, they fell short by a margin of 38 runs in the end.
