Tennis star Novak Djokovic fooled YouTuber and social media sensation IShowSpeed in a funny interaction at the Ballon d’Or 2023 ceremony. The 24-time Grand Slam winner managed to fool IShowSpeed at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris. Speed, who became an internet sensation for his love for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, was also present at the ceremony that saw the presence of notable sporting figures.

Speed met Novak Djokovic but failed to recognise the tennis icon and asked for his name, and instead of revealing his identity, Djokovic said that he belonged to AC Milan, one of the most popular football clubs. Speed asked, "Hey bro, what's your name? You look so familiar.”

Speed asked him, with the Serbian replying: "Hey man, what's up? Good to see you!" Djokovic added, "I'm a new AC Milan star, I haven't played yet but I'm getting on in the next game, I'm going for a hat-trick.”

Speaking of the Ballon d’Or award ceremony, Argentina captain Lionel Messi won the Ballon d’Or award for the record-extending eighth time. Apart from Messi, the list of Ballon d’Or awards had names like Aitana Bonmatí (FC Barcelona Femení, Spain), who won the Ballon d’Or Feminin award. Not only this, but Erling Haaland and Emiliano Martinez won the Gerd Muller and Yashin Trophy, respectively. The Best men’s club of the award went to Manchester City and the best women’s club of the award was won by FC Barcelona Femeni.
