Wrestler Trish Stratus was supposed to fight Becky Lynch at Summerslam 2023 on August 6, but Adam Pearce recently announced on RAW that the fight will actually be taking place on August 14 instead. The fight has been rescheduled to be fought during RAW at Winnipeg, leaving a lot of fans surprised. Trish Stratus recently took to Twitter to admonish Adam Pearce for assuming that Winnipeg would give her home advantage just because she was Canadian, also jokingly posting a photo of her checking her phone to see if she was free on "the 14th."
On Twitter, she posted the tweet after the RAW announcement by Pearce and called him an idiot for thinking that a wrestler who was from Toronto would have a home advantage in Winnipeg. She also joked about checking her schedule to see if she was free, which perfectly fits her wrestling persona, but also makes a point about the fight rescheduling. Lynch and Stratus are currently tied 1-1 head to head and many were expecting the fight to be a big part of Summerslam 2023.

Fightful Select reported that the promotion had had many internal discussions about the fight and that at one point it was looking like it would actually be scheduled for September 2nd at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
Stratus’s tweet read, “Checking to see if I’m even available on the 14th… And @ScrapDaddyAP, Winnipeg is NOT a home field advantage. I’m from Toronto, you idiot. Hair & Makeup by @muavee”
Lynch and Stratus to settle rivalry
After getting defeated by Trish in the WWE Night of Champions on May 27 at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia, Becky Lynch showed up to Houston, looking for a rematch against Trish Stratus. Shortly after the demand from the Man, Trish Stratus came out to her music on Raw, alongside her newest protege. But, before Lynch was about to square off against Stratus in Houston, Stark forced a disqualification after attacking the Man.
This led to Pearce rescheduling the rematch proper in Canada, at the Canada Life Center in Winnipeg. Becky Lynch returned to RAW in May of this year after Stratus turned on her in April. Fans have been looking forward to a proper ending to this storyline since and they are going to get it finally, albeit later than first expected.
