The Men in Blue will take on Australia in the final match of the three-match ODI series on 27th September in Rajkot. While the KL Rahul-led side took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, the Men in Blue will aim to whitewash the Aussies, this time at home with the ODI World Cup 2023 coming ahead.

But ahead of the final match of the series, the Men in Blue have been jolted with another blow as after Shubman Gill and Shardul Thakur were rested for the third ODI, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami have also been granted rest.
As reported by ESPNcricinfo, the two players haven’t travelled to Rajkot with the team for the final ODI. However, the side will see the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli after the two were given rest for the first two matches of the series. Additionally, Ruturaj Gaikwad has been released from the side to prepare for the Asian Games 2023, currently underway in Hangzhou, China.
