The third and final encounter of the three-match ODI series between India and Australia recorded a massive viewership of 20.6 crore . The fixture, which was being telecasted on the streaming application of the official broadcasters, smashed the viewership record as the number of real-time viewers skyrocketed during India’s innings.

The official broadcaster of the India vs Australia series, Jio Cinema, saw massive numbers in terms of viewership during the final fixture of the series on September 27, Wednesday. At one point in time, the number crossed the mark of 20 crore during India’s innings.
Speaking of the platform, JioCinema, which is owned by Reliance Digital, streamed all three games of the series for free. This was the first international series in the rights cycle presented on the platform. Not only this, but the OTT platform streamed the matches in 11 languages and roped in famous names from the cricketing fraternity to be part of the expert panel.
The names include Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, Aakash Chopra, Amit Mishra, Hanuma Vihari, Kiran More, Anirudha Srikanth, and Sarandeep Singh. Coming back to the match, Australia won the toss and invited their hosts to field first. Jasprit Bumrah was in impressive form and picked three wickets to restrict the Aussies to 352 with the loss of seven wickets.
