Team India is gearing up to take on World's Number 1 team in Test cricket, Australia in a must-win fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy, in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. While Australia is rejuvenated with a thrilling win in the third Test in Nagpur, Team India might end up making some crucial changes in playing XI.
Rohit Sharma already dropped Indian vice-captain KL Rahul from the Nagpur Test and replaced him with the top-order batter Shubman Gill. The last Test might see a couple of more changes in the squad. Wicket-keeper batter KS Bharat who was included in the squad in place of Rishabh Pant may lose his spot because of a series of a poor run in the series.
As per reports, we might see dynamic batter and wicketkeeper, Ishan Kishan in the squad as he is likely to take care of things behind the wicket. Reports have hinted that team management is of the opinion to bring Ishan Kishan into the squad after he performed extremely well in white-ball cricket. Considering the importance of the 4th Test, Team India is expecting Ishan Kishan to step up and capitalise on the opportunity he is expected to get.
Indian cricket fans may end up seeing one more notable change in the squad as r eports have already argued that Md. Shami might be in action in Ahmedabad in place of Md. Siraj. R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel are likely to take care of the spin department, pace department is reportedly going to comprise of Md. Shami and Umesh Yadav. Md. Siraj is expected to get a rest from the fourth Test as he will also feature in the ODIs against Australia.
