India’s squad participating in the T20 Men’s World Cup 2024 will reportedly be announced by May 1. The 2024 season of the marquee ICC tournament is set to kick off on June 2 and will be played till June 29 across different venues in the United States of America and the West Indies. The opening clash will feature co-hosts USA locking horns with Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium, Texas.
India will open their campaign against Ireland on June 5 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Apart from Ireland, India will clash against Pakistan, Canada, and co-hosts USA. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah recently confirmed that India will be led by Rohit Sharma, whereas Hardik Pandya will shoulder the responsibility of the vice-captain.

As per the reports by SportsTak, India’s squad for the forthcoming global cricketing tournament will be picked by May 1. The reports suggest that the team’s squad may comprise 15 players and teams must stick to the deadline, which is May 1. However, changes to the squad can be made until May 25, but anything after that would have to be approved by the ICC Technical Committee first.
Not only this but the announcement of the prize money is expected to come in due course. The highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan will be played on June 9 in New York. This will be the eighth time both sides will lock horns in the event.
