India to play intra-squad warm-up match in Perth from November 15 ahead of BGT 2024-25

Cricket Australia on Tuesday, May 28 announced two warm-up matches to be played in the build-up to the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The 2024-25 edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played from November 22, 2024 till January 7, 2024 Down Under.

As reported by Cricket Australia, India A will face off Australia A in two First-Class matches. While the first four-day match will commence on October 31 in Mackay, the second will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from November 7 to 10.

Moreover, the Indian men’s senior team will play an intra-squad match against India A in Perth from November 15 to 17, before the series commences on November 22 in Perth. “Hosting those A matches at the upgraded Great Barrier reef Arena and the MCG give these ‘A’ matches significant status and will provide great opportunities to players from both sides to put up their hand for selection,” Cricket Australia Head of Operations and Scheduling, Peter Roach said.
