Preview
After losing the ODI series 1-2, India made a befitting comeback in the Test series as they beat Bangladesh by 188 runs in the first match. The hosts came nowhere close to the KL Rahul-led team. India scored plenty of runs as Cheteshwar Pujara, Shreyas Iyer, and R Ashwin scored half-centuries. Kuldeep Yadav wreaked havoc with the ball as Bangladesh batters kept wondering for answers. Now, with only one match left, Bangladesh can either level the series or lose it. Meanwhile, India will take nothing less than a win as they eye a spot in WTC Final.
Pitch Report
The pitch at Shere Bangla Stadium in Dhaka was a hard one to bat on during the ODI series. But for batters who spent time in the middle, it got better. Meanwhile, both pacers and spinners had something to work with throughout the game. The pitch is expected to remain the same way in the Test match as well.
Team Analysis
India
India had lots of positives to take from the first Test. Despite Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Shami being not available, India played really well. While Cheteshwar Pujara, Shubman Gill, and Shreyas Iyer stepped up with the bat, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj shouldered the responsibility with the ball in hand. Virat Kohli did not have the best of outings in the first innings as he got out cheaply to Taijul Islam. KL Rahul also could not leave a big impact in both innings. With the ball, only R Ashwin did not have a great outing as he scalped only one wicket across two innings. Nevertheless, India are expected to start with the same playing XI in the second match as well.
SportsTiger Playing XI of India
Shubman Gill, KL Rahul (c), Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj
Bangladesh
Bangladesh were blown away in the first innings as they got bowled out for 150. The Shakib Al Hasan-led team did put up a fight in the second innings but there were a lot of runs to be scored. Plus, handling Kuldeep Yadav on a tricky surface seemed an impossible task for the Tigers. Shakib Al Hasan, Zakir Hassan, Najmul Shanto, Taijul Islam, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz were the star performers for Bangladesh. While Hasan, Zakir, and Shanto led the fight with the bat in the second innings, Islam and Miraz wreaked havoc in the first innings, scalping four wickets each. Bangladesh is also expected to field almost the same XI. Only Taskin Ahmed is expected to be added in place of Khaled Ahmed.

Zakir Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Mushfiqur Rahim, Yasir Ali, Nurul Hasan (wk), Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Khaled Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain
