South Korea is set to take on Uruguay in an international friendly at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on 28 March at 4:30 pm IST. It is the battle of Asian giants against the South American powerhouse. They will meet again after being faced off in the recent World C up too in which the Koreans progressed with a 2-1 win. Unluckily , Korea came up against a very superior opponent in Brazil in the next round which they lost 4-1. The new coach Jurgen Klinsmann will only manage his 2 nd game for the team as he took charge after the World Cup. He would be disappointed with the result last week as they blew a 2-goal lead against Colombia.
The Uruguayans also parted with their manager Diego Alonso post World Cup but are yet to announce a proper replacement as the U20s coach Marcelo Broli takes charge for the friendlies. The seniors Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani, and Diego Godin are now out of the friendlies making way for a younger generation.
