CSK winning the toss opted to field first considering rain in forecast, and things went in favor of them as the second innings got reduced to 15 overs with a DLS target.
Gujarat posted a huge total of 214/4 in 20 overs, with Sai Sudharsan top scoring for his side with a brilliant 96-run knock. Rain interrupted the game just after CSK played three balls in the second innings and later the DLS target was adjusted to chase down 171 runs in 15 overs. Every individual batter starting from Conway, Rahane, and Rayudu played a crucial role to accelerate CSK's total and finally, Jadeja finished off things in style for CSK.
