8. Jason Holder - As the all-rounder for Rajasthan Royals, the performances from Jason Holder, the former West Indies captain was nothing much to write home about. In his eight matches for the Royals, Holder picked up only 4 wickets at a horrible average of 71.00 and a poor economy of 9.96, while with the bat, he barely got any chance to make an impact to the proceedings.

9. Sunil Narine - The mainstay of Kolkata Knight Riders for more than a decade, Sunil Narine hasn’t been in best of forms in the IPL for the last couple of seasons. In the 2023 edition of the tournament, he managed to pick up only 11 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 34.82, while his economy of 7.98 was quite high in comparison to his own standards from previous seasons.

10. Kagiso Rabada - Kagiso Rabada, the premier fast bowler from South Africa, has enjoyed great success over the years in the IPL with the ball. But in the IPL 2023 season for Punjab Kings, he was a massive disappointment, taking only seven wickets in six matches at an average of 33.14 and a dreadful economy of 10.09, which didn’t help the cause for his team either.

11. Umesh Yadav - Umesh Yadav, the Indian international, played eight matches in the Indian Premier League 2023 for Kolkata Knight Riders. Although he managed to pick up only one wicket for his side at an unmentionable average and a poor economy of 9.95.

Furthermore, there were many other disappointing performers throughout the IPL, who didn’t make the flop list mentioned above. But since this year’s tournament had a role for five impact players in every matchday team lineup, the likes of Rovman Powell, Riyan Parag, Wanindu Hasaranga, Umran Malik, and Jofra Archer did make the cut for it, in the IPL 2023 Flop XI.
