The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the biggest T20 league in the world, is likely to start from March 22, 2024. As per reports, the IPL 2024 is anticipated to commence just in a week’s time after the conclusion of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024.

The tournament, which will be staged in India with the General Elections around, will run until May 26, which just five days before the commencement of the T20 World Cup 2024. As reported by Cricbuzz, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is considering holding the T20 tournament from March 22 to May 26. However, the confirmation on the same and its schedule will be made after the election dates are announced.
The report further added that the BCCI has received assurance from the cricket board around the world that their players will be available for the entire tournament until the final. Earlier reports revealed that the second edition of the WPL will be staged from February 22 until March 17. According to previous reports, the league will be hosted in Bengaluru and Delhi and the schedule will be announced shortly.
