In the opening two seasons, IPL 2022 amd 2023, the then KL Rahul-captained side advanced into the playoffs, but failed to get their hands on the coveted trophy. Thereafter in IPL 2024, they had a dismal outing, finishing seventh after winning seven matches and losing as many in the league stage.
