Devdutt Padikkal IPL career

Padikkal made his IPL debut in 2020 with RCB, where he presented his hard-hitting innings by scoring 473 runs and receiving the Emerging Player Award. His first IPL century came in 2021, solidifying his status as a quality player. He got released by LSG after IPL 2024 season and registered himself with a base price RS 2 crore.

In 2022, he was signed by the Rajasthan Royals (RR), where he continued to demonstrate his batting abilities. However, in November 2023, he was traded to the Lucknow Super Giants in exchange for pacer Avesh Khan. The left-handed batsman has played 64 IPL matches, scoring 1559 runs with 101* highest score. In 2023, he played for RR, scoring 261 runs from 11 innings which was quite a promising season for him. However,  Padikkal had a difficult season with LSG in 2024, scoring only 38 runs and was released ahead of the 2025 auction.
