Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan shared an emotional message on social media for his hairstylist Faiyaz Ansari who passed away after drowning in a swimming pool during their T20 World Cup 2024 trip. Ansari worked for the former all-rounder and travelled with Pathan to the Caribbean for his commentary during the T20 World Cup 2024.
The horrific incident occurred before the Super 8 match between India and Australia. Addressing the death of a close aide, Irfan shared a collection of pictures and videos of Ansari and paid respect to him. Pathan shared the post across various social media platforms and accompanied it with the song 'See You Again'.

The post said, “In the past six years, Faiyaz became family to us. My children would run to greet him whenever he came over. He loved me like an elder brother, and I loved him like a younger one. The pain of losing him is indescribable; I've never experienced anything like it. His ever-smiling face and his constant ‘ji bhai' will stay with me forever. I miss you dearly my brother my shadow, Faiyaz."
Faiyaz Ansari was born in Nagina, a town near Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh and he started a salon in Mumbai. As per media reports, Ansari's cousin Mohammad Ahmed revealed that the news left his family completely in mourning and Irfan Pathan was taking care of all the formalities to get his body back to India.
