For a long time, fans have been demanding a proper player transfer window from Krafton, and it seems their wish might finally be coming true. The Associate Director of Krafton India Esports recently teased the BGMI player transfer window introduction.
Is BGMI player transfer window coming?
On 31 December 2024, Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at KRAFTON India, dropped a hint that the BGMI player transfer window will be introduced on 3 January 2025.
During a Q&A session on Instagram, Karan answered a question, “Something like a transfer window?” He replied, “Yes, details on the KIE website on 3rd Jan.” This clearly indicates that Krafton has planned for the window.
The BGIS 2025 registration website is set to go live on 3rd January, and at the same time, fans will get to the BGMI Esports player transfer window. The window is a much-needed rule for the BGMI esports scene, especially with the current scenario where players often change their teams, creating confusion among fans in every event.
This rule will control these transfers, and fans might see more stability in lineups. However, more details of the transfer window will be revealed on 3rd January. So fans need to wait for all the details.
BGMI Upcoming tournaments
BGIS 2025 Kolkata
The much-awaited Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGIS) 2025, will feature a whopping prize pool of INR 2 Crore. This is an open-for-all tournament where all players can register and compete with the best teams in India. The BGIS 2025 registration is set to be open from 3 January 2025. The Grand Finals will take place in the City of Joy, Kolkata, in April.
BMPS 2025
Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro League (BMPS) 2025 is expected to take place in June - July 2025. However, the exact date is yet to be revealed by Krafton India Esports. The tournament will feature an INR 2 Crore prize pool where all top-tier teams of India will compete in an invite-only format.
