The video of Guardiola's epic reaction has gone viral on social media, as fans and pundits have reacted to the sensational move that will see Kane leave the Premier League for the Bundesliga. Guardiola was asked about his thoughts on Kane's transfer to Bayern, and he initially responded with a question: "Is it done? Officially?"
After a brief pause, he proceeded to praise Kane's qualities as a player and his achievements as a goalscorer. He described Kane as an "exceptional striker" who can score with both feet, head, and from different positions. “Everyone knows about his qualities. Just take a look at him. He is an exceptional striker,” the Spaniard was quoted as saying by TalkSport.
Guardiola had expressed his admiration and interest in signing Kane for City in 2021 when he made a £100 million bid for the England captain. However, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy rejected the offer and refused to let go of his prized asset, who had three years left on his contract at the time.
According to reports, Bayern has agreed to pay Tottenham €100 million (£86 million) plus add-ons up to €20 million (£17 million) for Kane, who will sign a four-year contract with the German champions. Kane will fly to Germany today and undergo a medical before completing the move.
