Bengaluru FC owner Parth Jindal didn’t have a great experience during the ISL 2024-25 final against Mohun Bagan Super Giant at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Saturday, April 12. The club owner shared a post on X where he claimed that he got hit by a firecracker while cheering for his team from the stands as they were taking on Mohun Bagan in the final. Further, Jindal also raised questions on the lack of security at the stadium in Kolkata.

“Have just been hit with a firecracker at the stadium while I’m cheering for my boys @bengalurufc is this the security we can expect in an ISL final in Kolkata?” Parth Jindal wrote on X. The post showed that Jindal wasn’t happy with the alleged lapse of security at the Salt Lake Stadium during an ISL final.

Mohun Bagan defeat Bengaluru FC to lift second ISL title

Talking about the match, it turned out to be an historic day for Mohun Bagan Super Giant as they defeated Bengaluru FC by 2-1 in the final to lift their second ISL title. For Mohun Bagan, Jason Cummings and Jamie Maclaren turned out to be the stars with their respective goals.

This was Mohun Bagan’s second title win in a single domestic season after they won the Winners' Shield last year. With this, they have also equalled Mumbai City FC who achieved the same feat in the 2020-21 season.
