Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar showed off his dancing skills as he joined superstar actors Ram Charan and Akshay Kumar to groove on the hit song, 'Naatu Naatu' at the opening ceremony of the Indian Street Premier League. Kicking off at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Mumbai, India's biggest tennis-ball cricket tournament was inaugurated with a grand ceremony.
Before the first ISPL game, fans in Mumbai will witness a live performance from ‘Gully Boy’ fame actor Siddhant Chaturvedi and the Dharavi Rockers Band. Additionally, the ceremony will feature a drone show by Karishma Kotak and the national anthem led by Amitabh Bachchan.
Ahead of these festivities, Sachin Tendulkar with Suriya Sivakumar, Ram Charan and Akshay Kumar came together for the opening address. Here the quarter danced away to the chart-bursting hit ' Naatu Naatu ' from Charan's RRR.
The ISPL will be played between six formidable teams – Chennai Singams, Tiigers of Kolkata, Falcon Risers Hyderabad, Bangalore Strikers, and Srinagar Ke Veere, who will vie for the prestigious ISPL Championship title. The tournament will be played between March 6 and March 15, 2024, and will feature the innovative T10 format where each inning will include 10 overs. Ahead of the opening clash, a special ‘Exhibition Match’ will be played where the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s Master XI will face off against Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi XI.
