The decision comes after the European Court of Justice handed a historic ruling in favour of the Super League case and deemed the control of FIFA and UEFA illegal. Further, the court stated that FIFA and UEFA blocking the creation of the European Super League (ESL) was against EU law.

The development was reported by Italian Journalist, Fabrizio Romano, stating that,"  Italian clubs, ππŽπ“ allowed to join Super League or they will be out of Serie A!  Italian Federation FIGC approved clause to prohibit access to the Super League to all the Italian clubs.  FIGC will not allow to join any competition other than UEFA, FIFA and of course FIGC official competitions.  If any Italian club joins Super League, it will be excluded straight away from Serie A 2024/2025."
