Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won his home D utch Grand Prix from pole position for the second year in a row to take his 10th victory of the season and extend his Formula 1 lead into triple figures.
But the biggest disappointment from the race was Lewis Hamilton as he finished fourth after leading the race for a lot of time. Sergio Perez finished fifth as he was slowed down in the pit by Carlos Sainz and fell back to eighth place after receiving a five-second penalty for an unsafe release in the pit lane. Now the 2022 F1 calendar turns over to the historic Autodromo Nazionale Monza track situated north of Milan for the Italian Grand Prix.
