England’s newest batting sensation Jacob Bethell revealed the name of the player he is most excited to play with during the Indian Premier League 2025. Betthell became Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s latest acquisition in the recently-concluded IPL 2025 mega auction for a whopping sum of INR 2.6 Crore. During the bidding war, the youngster attracted bids from SunRisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings and RCB as the Bengaluru-based franchise ended up acquiring him.
Recently, the cricketer made his Test debut as England clashed against New Zealand in Kiwi land. As the Three Lions secured an eight-wicket win in the first Test in Christchurch, the 21-year-old managed to score an unbeaten 50 off 37 runs with eight fours and one six in the second innings. In the first innings, the all-rounder delivered only one over and managed to score ten runs.

The latest batting sensation reveals the name of the player he is most excited to share RCB dressing room with. Bethell is set to share RCB dressing room with England teammates including the likes of Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone but revealed that it is Virat Kohli he is most excited to play with in IPL. Bethell, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo, said, "It's a bit of a given, isn't it? "Virat! He's a great of the game so... King Kohli.”
He added, "Any kind of overseas player that's gone over there has come back with a wealth of experience.” Speaking about playing at number three, the batter said, "I like batting up the order so, yeah, I was really happy that opportunity arose. I've always wanted to bat in the top four so three is perfect. I think my game is fit to play any style. On Sunday we saw a bit more of an attacking style. I can also absorb a bit of pressure, so I'm sure at times in my career there will be times to do that as well.”
