Mumbai Indians (MI) veteran opener Rohit Sharma was seen having a chat with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Zaheer Khan at the Ekana Stadium and the brief clip of the conversation is now going viral on social media. Rohit hasn’t delivered decent numbers to his Indian Premier League (IPL) team with his bat after three outings. Rohit, who has played with an attacking approach for India in white-ball cricket, has amassed 21 runs in three matches at a miserable strike rate of 105.00. Against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), MI utilised him as an Impact Player (IP), but the 37-year-old again disappointed the side with his flop show.
Ahead of MI’s contest against Lucknow, the viral clip showed Rohit saying “Jo jab karna tha, maine kiya barabar se, ab mere ko kuch karne ki zarurat nahi hai (Whatever had to be done, I did it properly, now I don't need to do anything). The clip ends after Rishabh Pant’s entry into the scene as the LSG captain hugs the India skipper from behind. Hearing the brief chat, fans are keen to know what's the context of the conversation. MI took to their X handle, posted the video and remarked, “Q: For how long are you going to watch this reel? A: Haaanjiiii”.

Muddled MI will take on inconsistent LSG in IPL 2025
MI displayed discipline and outclassed defending champions KKR in the previous game and got their maiden win of the competition. They will be expected to be at their best again in the upcoming contest against the hosts LSG to taste their second victory in the season.
Prior to the LSG challenge, a notable stat related to former Mumbai skipper Rohit has emerged. As per ESPNcricinfo, 15 players have notched up 2500 runs in the distinguished league and amongst those, Rohit’s strike rate is the lowest with 130.09. He has appeared in 118 matches since 2017 and has accumulated 2775 runs, at a disheartening average of 25.00 and a strike rate of 130.00. However, Rohit supporters will ignore these numbers and expect their batting icon to turn up against bowlers in Lucknow.
