Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has continued his incredible run of form in the team’s 2-0 Europa League win over Sheriff Tiraspol, as he netted his third goal of the season on Friday. But Sancho also managed to win a lot of hearts with his goal celebration, where he held one of his shin pads which drew the attention of the fans.

After the match, Sancho explained his celebration. Earlier a video of Sancho receiving the shin pads from a young Manchester United fan was making rounds on the internet. In a post-match interview with BT Sport, Sancho talked about how he wanted to show the young fans that he has worn his present in United’s Europa League fixture.

After the match, Sancho said, “He asked me to wear them (shin pads) and I said yes, no problem. It was a little gesture from me to show I was wearing the shin pads he gave me,” Sancho’s incredible performance coupled with Cristiano Ronaldo’s first goal of the season through a penalty takes the Red Devils to second place in their Europa League group.

Talking about Sancho, the 22-year-old has been left out of England’s squad for the UEFA Nations League. However, he once again proved to England’s manager, Gareth Southgate about his abilities. Reacting to not being picked in the national squad, Sancho said, "It is disappointing not to get a call-up but I have to keep working hard and hopefully I do get the call-up for the World Cup. I just have to focus on myself and carry on working hard."

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag also praised the young English winger for his performance and expressed elation with his growth through the pre-season. "I'm really pleased [for Jadon]," said Ten Hag.  "Another goal and he scored already many goals in his pre-season and he has three in the season. He is doing well. But I think there is much more room for improvement for him because he has so many skills. Bring him on the pitch when he has that belief, and he can improve even more."
