After defeating former NBA star Nate Robinson in his second professional bout in 2020 on the undercard of boxing legend Mike Tyson's exhibition boxing match with Roy Jones Jr, YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul rose to stardom. After four years, Paul will be up against Tyson in a "boxing mega-event" that will be live-streamed on Netflix.
Paul's Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) partnered with streaming giant Netflix, which will be stepping into combat sports for the first time after airing two live sporting events, to produce the boxing main card event between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson in July.
The fight between Paul and Tyson will happen on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian stated, "Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is a once-in-a-lifetime dream matchup and I anticipate it will be the most-watched boxing event in modern boxing history."
While Paul has a 9-1 record in professional boxing, the 57-year-old Mike Tyson is one of the greatest boxers with 50 wins ( 44 knockouts ) and 6 losses in his boxing career. However, the age factor will be a mismatch in the clash as Paul is 27, which is 30 years younger than Tyson.

Ahead of his fight against Tyson, Paul said, "It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard. Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons."
On the other hand, 'The Baddest Man on the Planet' said, "I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT."
