Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided updates about the club’s plans for the winter transfer window. Ancelotti said that the club is not thinking of making any purchase in the upcoming transfer window, set to take place in January. Ancelotti was addressing the press conference before Real Madrid’s Champions League clash against Braga on Thursday, November 9 (IST).
During the conference, the head coach threw a spotlight on their plans for the forthcoming transfer window. The 64-year-old said, “We don’t plan to buy anyone in the winter. I think the winter transfer window will be off for us. Militao and Courtois are expected to return by the end of the season. In the summer, there may be some gains, but definitely not in January.”
Madrid is currently placed second in the La Liga standings with a total of 29 points. Earlier, the club denied the information about negotiations regarding the transfer of PSG star Kylian Mbappe. Earlier, there were reports by the Spanish and French media about an agreement between the club and the French star.
However, Madrid said in their official statement, “In view of the information recently published by various media outlets regarding alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappé and our club, Real Madrid C.F. would like to state that this information is categorically false and that no such negotiations have taken place with any player belonging to PSG.”
