Jasprit Bumrah chooses ideal five-a-side football team featuring cricketers

Indian spearhead pacer Jasprit Bumrah chose his five-a-side football team featuring cricketers ahead of the beginning of the Indian Super League. Bumrah, who was last seen in action during the T20 World Cup 2024, will take on field as India clash against Bangladesh from September 19. Before the series, Bumrah was asked where he would play if he was a footballer. The Ahmedabad-based cricketer replied that he would be a midfielder.

Bumrah said, “I think I would be a midfielder. I like to do a lot of work, so I think I would be able to help in defence as well as attack.” On being asked to choose a five-a-side football team featuring both Indian and international cricketers, he chose names like MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli for the attack. He also included Jos Buttler and Stuart Broad in defence. For the position of goalkeeper, Bumrah chose himself.
