Australia cricketer Jessica Jonassen on Friday (April 14) took to social media to announce her marriage with long-time friend Sarah Gooderham. The Australian all-rounder also shared the picture of her wedding ceremony, which is said to have taken place in Hawaii, earlier this month. The Australian bowler took to social media to make this announcement on Friday (April 14).


The 30-year-old took to social media and captioned the post, “SURPRISE!! 3rd time lucky - finally married my best friend. April 6th will always have a special place in my heart.” 


Several cricketers also congratulated the newlywed couple after the pictures went viral. Among the many were Indian batter Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Alice Capsey, Marizanne Kapp. 


The couple got engaged in February 2018 in Queensland, Australia. The couple had initially planned to get married in 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they had to postpone the wedding further.


The six-time world cup winner was picked by Delhi Capitals in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League. She featured in every match for the team and picked up nine wickets in the same number of games. She also scored a total of 79 runs throughout the tournament. Jessica is also the captain of Brisbane Heat in the Women’s Big Bash in Australia and is currently the leading wicket-taker in tournament history. The left arm bowler was also a part of the Aussie side who won the T20 World Cup in South Africa in February earlier this year.
