Cricket Australia on Wednesday, November 6 confirmed Josh Inglis as their white-ball captain for the ongoing Pakistan series. Cummins, who played a captain’s knock and led the hosts to a close two-wicket win at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on Monday, November 4, however, will continue to lead the side in the second ODI, which is scheduled to be played on Friday, November 8 at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide.
After the completion of the second ODI against Pakistan, Pat Cummins will leave the camp to prepare for the highly-anticipated five-match Test series against India, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, starting on November 22 in Perth. In his absence, Josh Inglis will take over the reigns as captain for the third ODI and three-match T20I series.
