The Multan Sultans have been handed with a major blow as Irish player Josh Little has been ruled out of ongoing Pakistan Super League. The news broke out on Saturday (25 February), however an official confirmation from the franchise still awaits.
Little who was set to play for Multan Sultans in the PSL was experiencing hamstring tightness while playing for Pretoria Capitals in the SA20. The Ireland cricketer has returned home “out of an abundance of caution”, Cricket Ireland confirmed.
"An MRI scan showed no significant injury in the hamstring, but he will remain in Dublin to complete a course of rehab, strength and conditioning and bowling workload management in preparation for the Indian Premier League (IPL) beginning the end of March, and a subsequent busy period of International cricket for Ireland , " Mark Rausa, Ireland’s head of sport science, physiotherapy and medical services said.
The 23-year-old was roped in by defending champions Gujarat Titans for INR 4.4 Crore at the IPL Player’s Auction in December 2022.
