South African pacer Kagiso Rabada is set to play for a new franchise in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League after Gujarat Titans bought him for INR 10.75 Lakh in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The right-arm pacer was released by Kagiso Rabada during the player’s retentions ahead of the mega auction.

Kagiso Rabada was one of the big overseas names in the IPL 2025 mega auction after getting released by PBKS. He will now be seen as a fast bowling spearhead along with Mohammed Siraj in the GT squad. The South African pacer took 11 wickets in 11 matches in IPL 2024 at an average of 33.81.

Kagiso Rabada IPL salary breakdown

Kagiso Rabada kickstarted his IPL career in 2017 after Delhi Daredevils (now knowns as Delhi Capitals) roped him in for INR 5 Crore. After five years with DC, Rabada joined Punjab Kings ahead of IPL 2022 as the franchise acquired his services for INR 9.25 Crore. The right-arm has taken 117 wickets in 80 matches of his IPL career so far at an average of 21.96. Now, Rabada will be seen playing for his third franchise in IPL 2025. 

Talking about his IPL salary, Kagiso Rabada will be seen as main fast bowler for Gujarat Titans in the upcoming edition of the IPL. This means that he is likely to complete his quota of four overs in every game. As a franchise is confirmed to play 14 league matches, Rabada will bowl 336 balls in the league stage, which means the fast bowler will earn approx 3.20 Lakh per ball in IPL 2025. However, if GT qualify for the final, Rabda is likely to bowl 408 balls throughout the tournament with a maximum 17 matches to be played. According to this, the South African pacer will earn around INR 2.64 Lakh per ball in IPL 2025.
