Hence after the Titans' social media posted a picture of Kane Williamson, speculation started whether the New Zealand captain will be Gujarat's new skipper.

The Gujarat Titans' post was about the upcoming weekend three-day weekend with Monday, November 27 for the Guru Nanak Jayanti holiday. But amidst these reports, fans were wondering if he would be the next captain if Hardik Pandya is traded to the five-time champions Mumbai Indians.

Talking about the Gujarat Titans' 2023 season, the Hardik Pandya-led side lost to the Chennai Super Kings in the final after another dominant league stage. The Titans entered the Playoffs as the number-one seed with 10 wins and four losses. Talking about their auction purse, Gujarat Titans have INR 4.45 crore (USD 0.54 million) in their kitty before announcing the retained squad.
