On Friday, September 20, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) changed the schedule of the upcoming three-match Test series for the Men in Green against England, starting from October 7. According to the latest PCB announcement, the second Test match of the Pakistan and England series, which was slated to be played at the National Stadium in Karachi from October 15 onwards, is now moved to Multan Cricket Stadium without changing the dates.

With this specific change, Multan will now host the first two Test matches of the three-match series between Pakistan and England, while the third and the final Test will be going down from October 24 onwards, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. As per the report from Cricbuzz, the change in schedule of the Test series happened due to the National Stadium in Karachi currently undergoing renovation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, slated to begin on February 19 in Pakistan.

England will be playing three-match Test series in Pakistan for second time in three years

After departing from Europe on October 1, the England cricket team are slated to reach Multan the next day, under a week before the first Test match begins in the city. Meanwhile, the Pakistan cricket team will also assemble on the same day as their English counterparts, beginning their preparation for the three-match Test series after most of their players fulfilled their commitment towards the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup 2024.

The international director of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spoke about the changed venue for the England Test series in October and said, “Despite minor adjustments, we are committed to supporting fans and ensuring a memorable tour. We look forward to a fiercely competitive Test series and showcasing Pakistan's renowned hospitality. PCB is thrilled to welcome the England men's cricket team back to Pakistan.”
