India and former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter, Kedar Jadhav, on Monday, June 3 announced his retirement from all formats of the game. The senior Indian batter re-created MS Dhoni’s retirement post and took to social media to call off curtains to his cricketing career.
In his post on X (formerly Twitter), Kedar wrote, “Thank you all For your love and support throughout my Career from 1500 hrs Consider me as retired from all forms of cricket.”
Furthermore, on Instagram, the 39-year-old shared a series of pictures with an old melody ‘Zindagi ke Safar mein’, sung by Kishore Kumar.
Jadhav made his debut in Indian colours in an ODI match against Sri Lanka under Virat Kohli’s captaincy. Till date, he has featured in 73 ODIs and nine T20Is from 2014 to 2020. However, he did not have a prolonged career in the national side but featured in domestic cricket for majority of his career, where he piled up 6100 runs in 87 First-Class matches. He has also featured in five IPL franchises, namely, Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and SunRisers Hyderabad.
