Kemba Walker, a four-time NBA All-Star, has signed a one-year deal with AS Monaco, a French basketball team that plays in the EuroLeague. After 12 seasons in the NBA, Walker, 33, will play in Europe for the first time in his career. Walker's NBA career began in 2011 when the Charlotte Hornets selected him with the ninth overall pick.

He played for the Hornets for eight seasons, becoming their all-time leading scorer and earning three All-Star selections. After playing for two seasons and making another All-Star appearance with the Boston Celtics, he then joined them as a free agent in 2019 and since played for New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The official EuroLeague social media handle confirmed the signing via a tweet posted on Friday.

Walker will join a Monaco team that made its EuroLeague debut last season, finishing with a 13-21 record and missing the playoffs. The team is coached by Sasha Obradovic, who led them to a French Cup title in 2023.

Walker is known for his quickness, scoring ability, leadership, and clutch performances. He averaged 19.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game in his NBA career. He also won the NCAA championship and the Most Outstanding Player award in 2011 with the University of Connecticut.
