England’s right-handed opener Zak Crawley is failing miserably to perform up to the reputation and finding himself at the tight spot after back-to-back poor performances in an ongoing New Zealand series. In four innings, Crawley has only managed to score 4, 28, 2 and 24 - having amassed just 58 runs at an average of 14.50. At present Crawley is the only wicket England have lost as the visitors look to chase down 258 and win the historic series.

While Zak Crawley is struggling to score runs and experiencing a slump in his career, a Twitter user got the schooling by Indian cricket fans for making a bizarre comparison between the England opener and India’s legendary batter, Virat Kohli. The Twitter user (@_kezx) compared the batting average of both batters since 2020 as he wrote, ‘Zak Crawley averages more (28.12) than Virat Kohli (26.13) in Tests since 2020.’

Notably, Virat Kohli has recently played exceptionally well in white-ball games but has yet to score big in red-ball cricket. The 34-year-old smashed his last Test century (139) against Bangladesh on November 22, 2019. The Indian batter also batted brilliantly in the 1st innings of the 1st Test but could not convert his courageous 44 off 84 deliveries into a big score.

However, the abovementioned tweet didn’t go well with the Indian cricket fans as the latter schooled the Twitter user for making an absurd comparison between both batters. While a Twitter user claimed that Virat Kohli’s career has been better than the complete squad of England, others wrote that ‘Kid started watching cricket in 2020.’
