Indian cricketer KL Rahul has started wicketkeeping as he continues recovery from a thigh injury suffered during the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League. The Karnataka star missed more than half of the IPL season and was out of the Indian team for the World Test Championship Final and the ongoing series against West Indies.

In a video shared on Instagram, KL Rahul shows off his wicketkeeping skills as he holds on to a few close-in grabs before pulling off some great diving catches. The Lucknow Super Giants captain is also seen batting in the nets as he plays some of his trademark straight-down-the-ground shots. The video posted by KL Rahul had a caption saying “🏏>>>”.

With KL Rahul recovering well from his injury, the Indian team received a significant boost with the return of fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. The Mumbai Indians speedster was named as the captain of the Indian team for the upcoming tour to Ireland, starting on August 18 in Dublin. Bumrah will be leading a young group of players against a charged-up Irish side, who nearly missed qualification for this year’s ODI World Cup.
