Real Madrid’s latest signing, French football star Kylian Mbappe has reportedly filed a legal complaint against former club Paris St Germain. As per the report, the legal action could result in PSG being expelled from the UEFA Champions League. Mbappe began his tenure with Real Madrid on a positive note, having scored a goal on debut during the clash against Atlanta on August 15 in Super Club.

According to the French newspaper Le Monde, there is a dispute between the PSG shareholders, the Qatari Sports Investment, where the footballer is demanding around 55 million Euros. The payment is yet to be made as per Mbappe’s previous contract with the club. The report also stated that out of the amount, around 36 million is from his signing bonus which he was supposed to receive in February.

Since the footballer is yet to receive the amount, he has taken a legal route and referred the matter to the French Professional Football League (LFP), the French Football Federation (FFF) to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The LFP can press a transfer ban on the team and the UEFA can revoke the club’s license, bringing their participation in the Champions League to an end.

The 25-year-old joined Real Madrid after spending seven years at PSG which saw him become the club’s all-time top scorer. As per reports, the term came to an end on a sour note as PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Mbappe were involved in a verbal argument.
